Most AI panels happen in an event space. This one happens on the floor at Hadrian's Factory X in Torrance, one of the most advanced automated production sites in the country, built by a company on a mission to rebuild the American industrial base.
AI has already reshaped software, support and knowledge work. Manufacturing is harder. Factory operations run on physical processes, fragmented data, thirty-year-old equipment, real-time decisions, and decades of tribal knowledge that has never existed in a form a model can read. Most shop-floor AI deployments stall for reasons that have nothing to do with the model.
