/ About this event
AI can write your code, your caption, and maybe your thesis outline — so what's a PhD still for?
Join Black Doctors Creative for a candid, no-jargon conversation between technologists, doctoral scholars, and creatives unpacking the real tension of this moment: as "vibe coding" makes building things faster and easier than ever, are we witnessing the democratization of genius or a quiet attack on intellectual rigor?
Come with your hot takes, leave with new ones. Drinks, dialogue, and a room full of brilliant minds who've earned their seat (degree or not) at the table.
This event is a part of #BlackLATechWeek (BlackLATechWeek.com) — a week-long series celebrating and accelerating Black excellence in tech across L.A., which is itself an official part of #LATechWeek, a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem.
