/ About this event
Most #LATechWeek events will talk about where generative AI is headed next. At Google’s iconic Venice campus, you will step inside it—live, interactive, and streaming in real time.
Join Google Cloud and Visko for an exclusive evening of craft cocktails, a live interactive demonstration of Visko’s Orbis foundation model, and an insider fireside chat with leaders shaping the future of AI world simulation, Hollywood production, and high-performance cloud computing.
The first wave of generative video treated the world as a flat sequence of 2D pixels—producing passive, pre-rendered clips where objects morph unnaturally, geometry drifts, and gravity breaks. The next frontier is Live and Steerable Live Models: AI systems that simulate a continuous, physics-grounded universe with persistent memory, object permanence, and real-time interactive control. Instead of waiting minutes for a static clip, creators and autonomous systems can step into a living world and steer camera angles, object interactions, and narrative dynamics on the fly.
Featured Speakers & Moderator
Will Yin | Founder & CEO, Visko Platform Will leads Visko’s development of Live Models and Orbis for real-time, interactive world generation. Previously an engineer at Apple and a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia, he earned his PhD at Stanford. His work combines physical simulation and machine learning to build interactive worlds grounded in physics.
Buzz Hays | Global Market Lead for Entertainment Industry Solutions, Google Cloud Buzz works at the intersection of entertainment, AI, and immersive technology across film, television and gaming. He began his career at Lucasfilm and brings over 25 years of Hollywood production experience. He is a member of of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) and Chairman of the Advanced Imaging Society.
Ivan Nardini | Developer Relations Engineer, AI/ML, Google Cloud Ivan helps developers build with Google Cloud AI, focusing on Cloud TPUs and high-performance infrastructure. His work spans distributed training, inference and AI agents. A contributor to the Gemma 2 technical report, he shares practical guidance through technical articles and codelabs.
Moderator: Dave Elliott | Head of Developer Advocacy for AI, Google Cloud Dave leads Google Cloud’s global AI Engineering and Evangelism team, helping developers adopt emerging AI technologies. He also brings the developer community’s feedback to Google’s product teams. Before Google, he held leadership roles at Symantec and Sun Microsystems, and he holds an MBA from UC Berkeley.
About Visko Visko is the AI research company pioneering Live Models and the creator of Orbis, a foundation model that generates and streams living worlds in real time. Orbis unites persistent memory, steerable interactivity, and generation grounded in real-world physics to power the next generation of media, entertainment, gaming, and embodied AI. Discover more about Orbis and Visko’s Live Models at visko.ai.
