The Serpens Center for International Security (SCIS) is hosting a curated convening of investors, defense tech companies, and military end-users as part of the 2026 LA Tech Week.
US-Ukraine MilTech Evening is a focused side event shaped by the current battlefield reality and its implications on the investement climate. Our event puts Ukrainian combat UAS operators and companies in the same room as American defense-tech founders, primes, and investors for a working evening to discuss the Armed Forces’s needs, approaches and challenges to joint ventures, production, and other forms of cooperation. We will discuss fears and risks that surround Ukraine's defense-tech investment climate, sharing best practices and success cases from all sectors: Ukrainian companies, military, and government.

Opening remarks and tactical briefing from Serpens The state of the frontline and Ukrainian defense tech investment climate, what's at stake, and what a good outcome looks like for every group in the room.
Moderated panel Ukrainian UAS operators, company founders, and investors in candid conversation — military end-used needs, capabilities, procurement realities and current pathways and the barriers to US–Ukraine collaboration — with audience Q&A.
Stakeholder breakout rooms Two parallel, private small-group discussions for each stakeholder group with a facilitator.
Networking reception Open networking over drinks, with a short report-back of headline takeaways from each breakout to seed conversations.
