For decades, the worlds on screen were built by hand: production designers and VFX artists studied the physics of the real world and bent them just enough to imagine entirely new ones. Video models made it possible to generate a shot. World models aim to generate the whole world the shot lives in: a persistent, physics-aware environment a director can move through, re-light, and come back to tomorrow to find exactly as they left it. That shift touches everything from previs and virtual production to interactive and personalized formats.
In this conversation and live demo, founders building world models sit down with a studio production leader to talk about what's working today, what's still research, and what has to be true before a world model shows up in a final frame. We'll cover the three things every studio asks for (consistency, control, and persistence), why capture data may matter more than compute, and how studios keep their IP secure while running these models on their own infrastructure. Then we'll show it live.
