data λ code unconference
Most data events are just people talking at you from a stage. We're doing something different.
This is practitioner-led:
no agenda until you make one,
no slide decks,
just data engineers and builders figuring stuff out together.
⚙️ How it works: ⚙️
1️⃣ We start in one room.
2️⃣ Everyone throws problems or ideas on sticky notes.
3️⃣ Vote on what's interesting.
4️⃣ Split into groups.
5️⃣ Discuss and share ideas.
6️⃣ Come back, share what we learned, then grab drinks.
The agenda is whatever the room brings.
💡 People have already mentioned:
- Getting CI/CD and testing into data work without everything grinding to a halt.
- What collaboration actually looks like when your whole team goes code-first?
- Balancing speed vs quality when your pipeline is your product.
- What does AI exactly mean for the future of our field?
🎯 Why this matters:
- Data teams are becoming more like engineering teams.
- Engineering teams are doing more data stuff.
- Nobody's figured out the best way to do this yet.
👤 Who should come:
Data engineers, analytics engineers, tech leads, and anyone building stuff at the intersection of code and data.
❓Why bother:
Because the conversations that actually help happen over whiteboards with people who've been in the same mess you're in right now.
Space is tight. RSVP or you're out of luck.
Drinks after with PostHog + Deskree + Recce → separate invite: https://partiful.com/e/zE0NqSFH0YxukzNF0XWd

Reimagining E-Commerce: How AI is Transforming Brand Growth
E-commerce is undergoing a profound transformation, with artificial intelligence at the center of the change. As products themselves become the building blocks of campaign creative, growth teams are turning to AI-powered reasoning and generation tools to achieve hyper-efficient scale.
This fireside panel, part of a16z LA Tech Week, brings together leaders from across the ecosystem to explore what’s next.
• Tadas Jucikas, CEO of Genus.AI, will share how enterprise reasoning is just around the corner, supporting growth teams with reporting, audience insights, creative generation, and campaign execution. Genus.AI and their AI agent Sage already processes over $1B in e-commerce revenue annually, powering growth for iconic brands like Lulus, Chubbies, Gorjana, and others.
• Neil Popkin, Vice President at a high growth agency Brand.co, will discuss how Dynamic Product Ads (DPAs) are rewiring digital commerce across all channels. With Brand.co’s work for brands such as Caddis, Kut from the Kloth, and Larroude, Neil will share the best practices how products as creative, combined with AI tools, unlock new opportunities for sustainable growth.
• Tyler Prone, Director of E-Commerce at Parks Project, brings the brand perspective. Parks Project is a leading apparel and accessories company innovating with collaborations from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Dr. Seuss, while donating a percentage of profits to U.S. National Parks. Tyler will share how the brand leverages AI to drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement—maximizing its mission-driven impact.
• Steve Morales, Head of Growth at Swat Frame, will discuss how multi-brand operators are scaling with AI. Swat Frame’s portfolio includes Kut from the Kloth, a high-quality denim wear brand that has experienced dramatic growth through AI-driven customer engagement and campaign execution.
• Rita Zahir, VP of Marketing & E-Commerce at Unique Vintage, brings two decades of digital marketing expertise. At Unique Vintage, she’s using AI to dynamically generate 20,000+ SKUs across platforms like Meta, Google, Criteo, and Pinterest, demonstrating how technology can accelerate growth for mission-driven brands.
Together, this panel will explore how AI is reshaping e-commerce—from personalization and automation to reasoning-driven systems—and what it means for platforms, agencies, and brands building the future of digital commerce.

EuReality: XR Sharing and Happy Hour
Join XR's leading innovators to dive into how AI-driven hardware is crafting a digital reality surpassing the natural world.
A decentralized and organic event that brings together top global XR founders and builders, tech investors, XR ecosystem veterans, and hardware enthusiasts. Communicate in person, share your insights and lessons on what it truly takes to “build” - the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
👀 EuReality Event: We help founders create momentum with bold visions and craftsmanship mindset in the digital reality era. — “If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, did it happen?”
------
Behind the Name:
EuReality is the next frontier—a collective, interdependent digital reality where intelligent machines and synthetic data cooperate seamlessly to create a reality beyond the natural.
The past few decades, defined by the fifth Kondratiev wave, marked the small-information era of electronics and the Internet. The coming sixth wave will ignite the big-information era, powered by autonomous intelligent machines—hardware in the physical world—that will transform how humanity lives, works, and imagines the future.
Looking further ahead, guided by First Principles that technology evolves in a ‘Left-Right-Left’ cycle, the next wave will bring the intelligent revolution. Robots, drones, aircrafts, and autonomous vehicles will generate vast streams of synthetic data, pushing a profound upgrade of the digital realm and crafting a digital reality that surpasses the natural world.
Now is the critical window to shape this future. We stand at a paradigm crossroads: from “human value comes from our labor” to “human value comes from who we are.” I believe in this shift, and I have named it EuReality.
Inspired by eusociality—the highest form of social organization in biology, where individuals thrive through cooperation, specialization, and shared purpose—eureality reimagines this principle for technology. It embodies distributed intelligence: machines and systems acting collectively, like a superorganism.
In the digital realm, eureality is not just an upgrade; it is an ecosystem of intelligent machines, smart hardware, and synthetic data working together to create a reality more connected, adaptive, and transformative than ever before.
