AI in the Creator Stack
When every week’s product update seems to slap “AI-powered” on the label, it gets tough to tell what’s real, what’s vaporware, and what actually moves revenue. This panel brings together the builders and operators behind influencer and affiliate products to sort signal from noise.
Speakers:
• Pontus Karlsson: Product at Superfiliate, powering creator partnerships (ex-Founder/CEO, Off Script)
• Carissa Estreller: Founder, Hook & Anchor Media + writer of the Digital Culturist newsletter
• Sreya Halder: Co-founder, Merazine, and content creator (40K+ users in 10 days)
• Lauren Giovannetti: Creator Marketing Manager, Stan, the startup making it easier for creators to monetize their offerings.
• Mary Grace Scully: Head of Marketing, Locker, a social shopping tool and platform that's been called the future of influencer marketing.
• Jesse Zhang: Co-founder & CPO, Beacons AI, a supercharged creator hub to scale your business.
What we’ll dig into:
-> How AI is switching up the creator game
-> When to use AI...and when not to
-> Concrete walk-throughs of AI features already in prod and the exact metrics they’re improving.
You’ll leave with a short-list of AI experiments worth running next sprint (and a few buzzwords you can safely ignore in the next exec meeting).
Dots: The payment infrastructure and operations you need to succeed.
Accept payments, send payouts, and onboard sellers without having to worry about compliance and security. Let us handle the hard stuff at dots.dev.

The Next Level: The Unfair Advantages of Building with a Venture Studio
Join Expa on the rooftop of the Proper Hotel for an evening designed for ambitious and experienced founders who are thinking about their next startup.
Venture studios are reshaping how companies get built. At this event, we’ll explore how studios provide founders with unfair advantages: from early capital and operational support to product strategy and recruiting. Workshop: Building your first Company Chatbot
Most enterprises are building AI on just a slice of their data leaving untapped insights, ROI, and competitive advantage on the table. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll walk you through how to build an enterprise-grade chatbot that actually leverages your full unstructured dataset: securely, cleanly, and without a single line of code.
This isn’t theory. This is build-along. Together we’ll:
- Anonymize & clean messy, unstructured data (yes, even the stuff you forgot about).
-Pipe data directly into GPT using Aparavi’s Data Toolchain for AI.
-See real ROI at scale by unlocking value hidden across SharePoint, Teams, file servers, and more.
Agenda:
3:00 PM - Event starts
3:30 pm - Workshop
4:30 PM - Q&A
5:00 PM - Happy hour at Barney's Beanery Santa Monica
Speakers:
Roan Weigert - AI Engineer & Dev Rel @ Aparavi
Joshua Phillips - Software Engineer & Dev Rel @ Aparavi
https://www.linkedin.com/in/-roan/
https://www.linkedin.com/in/joshuadarron/
How to Get to the Aparavi Santa Monica Office: https://bit.ly/46VOPkD
Bring your own dataset for a custom build (BYOD), or use our provided dataset if you’d rather test drive first. Either way, you’ll walk away with a working chatbot blueprint and a clear vision for scaling enterprise AI the right way.
We’re not dabbling, we’re experts. And we’re going to show you exactly how it’s done.
P.S. Stick around after, our team is hosting a happy hour. Because the only thing better than AI-ready data is a cold drink with smart people. 🍻

Event Title: Asia Restaurant CEO Summit
📅 Friday, October 17, 2025
🕒 2:45 PM – 6:00 PM
📍 Kellogg West Conference Center and Hotel (Building 76)
GPS Address: Kellogg West Conference Hotel (Building 76), Park at the Main Hotel Lodge Building.
The Asia Restaurant CEO Summit, co-hosted by Nasdaq Inc., Cal Poly Pomona, and the Asia Innovation Academy, brings together leading voices shaping the vibrant and diverse future of the Asian restaurant and hospitality industry. Rooted in Nasdaq’s mission to empower visionary entrepreneurs, the summit creates a space where CEOs, investors, and innovators exchange ideas on how Asian culinary traditions—from street food to fine dining—can flourish and scale sustainably in the U.S. and beyond, starting right here in multicultural Los Angeles. This collaboration bridges Wall Street insight with Asian heritage and Main Street passion, highlighting how community-driven values and bold business leadership together fuel the next generation of global restaurant brands.
At the academic heart of the summit is Dr. Cervantes Lee, a Cal Poly Pomona professor renowned for his work in Asian restaurant entrepreneurship and cross-cultural innovation. Having advised global restaurant leaders overseeing 5,000–20,000+ locations worldwide, Dr. Lee combines academic depth with real-world experience. Together with Nasdaq executives and industry trailblazers—from Jollibee (Philippines, the No. 2 Asian restaurant brand in the U.S.) and 85°C Bakery Café (Taiwan) to Gen Korean BBQ House, CJ Foodville (Korea), and KEI Concepts (Vietnamese-American)—the summit honors the shared spirit of Asian entrepreneurship. On the restaurant supply chain and technology side, the summit also features HF Foods, the largest Asian specialty food distributor in the U.S., and Botrista Tech, a leader in advanced beverage automation. It celebrates how food, culture, and innovation come together as these brands take meaningful steps toward the Nasdaq stage and a truly global future.
This special event is proudly executed by the volunteer students of GBA 5700 (Business Planning)—emerging leaders who share a passion for restaurants, entrepreneurship, business growth, and technology-enhanced operations. We deeply appreciate the faculty, staff, and industry mentors whose guidance and encouragement continue to inspire and empower our future innovators at Cal Poly Pomona.
