/ About this event
Ever wondered whether you'd rather pitch to VCs or negotiate with a publisher? Now's your chance to find out without the real-world stakes.
Join us for a live-action workshop where we go head to head exploring two very different paths to funding a game (or any creative venture): investor money vs. publisher deals. Designed by Rodo's Chief of Staff, this session turns the classic debate into an interactive, on your feet experience. Think role play, quick decisions, and real trade offs, not a lecture.
You'll walk away with:
- A gut-level feel for how investor and publisher relationships actually differ in practice
- The leverage points, risks, and incentives on each side of the table
- A framework for figuring out which path fits your own project
Location: TBD
Whether you're building something right now or just curious how funding really works behind the scenes, come play, argue your side, and see how the numbers (and the egos) shake out.
What to expect: Interactive live-action game, small teams, some friendly chaos, snacks/drinks.
Who should come: Founders, devs, publishers, investors, or anyone curious about how deals get made.
