/ About this event
You can quote your company's burn rate to the dollar, but do you know your own?
San Francisco is the most expensive city on record; it doesn't matter whether you're bootstrapped, funded, or salaried. The math has two levers: what comes in and what goes out. This clinic will work with you on both.
HOW IT RUNS
First 30 minutes - the panel. We’ll start with income: what the market is paying, what people at your level and stage are actually earning, and how to think about total compensation. Then we’ll move into spending: what a good lease looks like in this city and how much to allocate to other big-ticket expenses.
Last 30 minutes - the open clinic. Bring your own numbers and share them with the room. We’ll discuss real situations and give candid assessments, feel free to keep things high-level or get into the specifics.
THE SPEAKERS
Margarita Martinez - Senior Technical Talent Partner at Invisible Technologies: what the market is actually paying right now, and what you're leaving on the table.
Katie Pratt - Realtor at Kai Real Estate: reading real rent terms live: is your lease good or bad?
Basit Bhaila, CPA - Corporate Accounting Manager at Robinhood Ventures, helping unpack the money math: what you earn, what you spend, and what’s actually left.
Melanie Marsollier - Founder of Pie a social media of your finances.
Julia Quon - Drawing on her experience interviewing for political campaigns, she’ll moderate the panel, ask the follow-up questions, and bring your questions and real-life situations into the conversation.
Bring real numbers. Leave with a real assessment. Free, no judgment.
