Introducing State of Models, OpenRouter’s new flagship thought leadership series built around one of our most unique vantage points: visibility into how AI models are being used at scale.
For our first edition, we’re going beyond benchmarks to unpack what’s actually happening across the AI ecosystem: which models are gaining momentum, how developers are balancing cost and quality, where open and proprietary models are winning, and what real-world usage patterns tell us about where AI is heading next.
Peter Walker, Head of Insights at OpenRouter, will share what we’re seeing across the platform and the trends emerging from real-world model usage.
He’ll then be joined by George Cameron, Co-Founder of Artificial Analysis, for a conversation moderated by Jane Alexander, Partner at CapitalG, connecting usage data with the broader model landscape. Together, they’ll explore what the numbers are telling us, where different signals agree or diverge, and what it all means for the next generation of AI products.
