Most Tech Week rooms begin with what people do. This one begins with what, and whom, they remember.
The Memory Table is an intimate dinner series by Heritage Table. For its SF Tech Week edition, twelve founders, investors, AI builders and product thinkers will gather around one long table for a meal built around coconut, an ingredient carried across oceans that became something different in Philippine, South Asian and East African kitchens.
As coconut changes form through the meal, the conversation moves with it: from food and personal memory to migration and inheritance, then to technology.
What should AI remember? Who has the authority to decide? What must stay attached for something to be inherited rather than merely copied? Should families have a right to forget as well as a right to remember? And if AI can infer a story someone never chose to tell, should it?
There is no panel, pitch, demo or formal networking circuit. The meal creates the shared context, the conversation is the program, and the table becomes the interface.
Nothing spoken at dinner is recorded by default. Guests will see the Living Cookbook at the table, the record of the meal they've just eaten, and choose what, if anything, they contribute to it. Shared afterwards with the twelve people in the room. Contributors remain the authors of what they submit.
