Ugly Talk: Design Founder Takeover
Join us for an unfiltered panel discussion exploring what happens when designers take the lead and don’t wait for permission to build. Design Founder Takeover brings together a bold lineup of founders who started their careers in design and are now leveraging AI to build companies from the ground up.
This conversation will dive deep into the unique vantage point of design-led founders: how their design intuition shapes product thinking, what it means to prototype with AI as your cofounder, and how they navigate building, scaling, and fundraising as non-technical founders in a tech-dominated space.
Whether you're a designer dreaming of starting something or just curious about what it looks like when creativity meets code, this is the panel you don’t want to miss.
Who Should Attend: Designers, founders, builders, product thinkers, AI experimenters, and anyone curious about the evolving role of design in startup creation.
🎤 Who’s on the Panel

How I barely survived live ent. and how tech saved me. Book launch
Aivars Mirzo Lipenitis (IVR) is the former CEO and founder of a live entertainment company in Europe. He has worked with all the major talent agencies and management companies, as well as countless artists, international sponsors, and media outlets. There was a time when the company put on a show every night in different parts of Europe.
Then, IVR went broke. Financially, physically, and spiritually. He lost everything: his companies, home, car, office, friends, relationship, and health.
Throughout his recovery, the author learned many lessons and wants to share them with future readers—young entrepreneurs, achievers, and those dreaming of radical change and a more exciting lifestyle.
IVR experienced complex relationships filled with heartbreak, drugs, and abuse; a loss of his once-favored public image; and hours, days, and even years of self-reflection and learning to find his way back to himself.
In his book, IVR shares his experiences, as well as stories of the entrepreneurs he met and worked with along the way, and studies from recognized universities and scientists. His story was first released in his native Latvia, where it soon became a bestseller. Reader feedback allowed the author to rewrite the book for an international release.
Aivars Mirzo Lipenitis is now the CEO of a group of consulting, technology, and marketing companies, as well as a highly sought-after consultant in the corporate and startup innovation world. His passion for music and the live scene has never faded.
The book is an independent release and will be available at select bookstores and online.
In the event, the author will share stories from the book. Expect violance, abuse, use of substances, strong language.
You will have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of the book at a special rate.
