Hustle Fund, FrontierTower
As a founder, you’re constantly juggling fundraising, hiring, and finding (and keeping!) customers. Each of these topics could take up your entire week… but you don’t always have a trusted place to get answers.
That’s why on October 8th from 1-4pm PT, we’re hosting Breakouts, an office hours–style event designed for early stage founders and investors.
At Breakouts, you'll join small groups for tactical, intimate discussions on topics like fundraising, GTM strategies, compliance, growth, and more. Each group will be led by a subject matter expert — typically an investor, founder, or expert operator.
No strategic hovering. No awkward networking for five minutes of valuable feedback. You'll get direct access to experts and connect with other founders who are going through the same things as you. Skip the generic advice and get help with the challenges you’re wrestling with right now.
How it Works:
- Sessions will be 30 minutes each.
- When you arrive, you’ll be matched with a session that best fits your preferences listed when registering.
- Fundraising sessions take place from 1–2pm.
- All other sessions (hiring and customer-focused topics) take place from 2–4pm.
Who's behind this?
This event is hosted at the Frontier Tower:
We are transforming a 16-floor tower in San Francisco into a self-governed vertical village—a hub for frontier technologies and creative arts. Tier-one labs presenting AI, Ethereum, biotech, neuroscience, longevity, robotics, human flourishing, and arts & music. These floors will house innovators and creators pushing the boundaries of human potential in a post-AI-singularity world.
Apply here for founding citizenship: https://frontiertower.io/membership
Why should I become a citizen?
- Be part of creating the first self-governed vertical village
- Connect with the most creative people in the city
- Get access to all floors, free event space & movement floor

Positive Intelligence Quotient (PQ) measures “mental fitness,” which is your ability to respond to challenges with clarity and strength. It is about activating your inner sage through curiosity, empathy, and creativity while quieting your inner saboteurs such as self-doubt, perfectionism, over-control, or avoidance. Tech professionals will explore how Positive Intelligence impacts peak performance, resilience, and relationships at work.
WHY IT MATTERS
With many shifts in the world, the economy, and the workplace, markets adjust, strategies pivot, teams reorganize, and AI accelerates possibilities and the unknown.
🎯 Many leaders are left asking the same question: How do I and my team stay focused and perform on what truly matters?
✨ In high-pressure environments, performance is not just about effort: it is about energy. Leaders who strengthen their mental fitness not only deliver stronger results but also sustain their own well-being and build higher-performing teams.
📈 Research on PQ shows that improving mental fitness can increase:

And 53% of legal teams still have zero AI strategy—while their competitors save 5 hours per lawyer per week and unlock $100,000 in annual productivity gains.
Join four leaders who've seen how AI implementations succeed spectacularly and where more work needs to be done:
🎯 Monica Zent – Pioneering AI-native ALSP founder who's boldly bringing AI to the legal services realm.
🚀 Martin Felli – Chief Legal Officer, Alight (balancing legal risk and AI needs at scale), and more!
⚡ Russ Philpott – Director, Legal Operations, Okta (transforming enterprise legal operations).
🛡️ Rajiv Batra – Head of Legal & Compliance, Arc (driving compliance and legal innovation in AI adoption).
💡 Leo Murgel – SVP, Office of Legal and Corporate Affairs, Salesforce (leading tech, data, and legal enablement initiatives).
Topics will include:
* The challenges GCs and Legal Ops teams face in adopting AI tools in their departments.
* What founders (and the investors backing them) need to know when building AI-powered LegalTech solutions.
* How founders, investors and legal department leaders can accelerate the industry’s next era.
After the panel chat, join the most strategic legal AI networking event of Tech Week: Connect with the VCs writing checks to legal AI startups, the founders building the next Harvey, and the GCs and Legal Ops leaders who've cracked the code on AI ROI.

Scaling AI in the Enterprise
start time
This is some text inside of a div block.
Sujith Joseph is a Principal Engineer and Chief Architect for Enterprise AI & Search in Cisco. He will be presenting about Cisco's Gen AI journey for drastically improving employee experience.
Overview:
Generative AI is everywhere; turning pilots into production at enterprise scale is the hard part. This talk goes behind the scenes of CIRCUIT—Cisco’s #1-used AI tool and enterprise agent ecosystem—now powering 100K+ employee interactions every business day and serving 4,000+ internal teams via LLM-as-a-Service and RAG-as-a-Service (powered by Pinecone Vector Database).
We’ll unpack the search & cloud engineering that makes it work: an LLM router and agent orchestration layer (built with LangGraph) that routes tasks to the right expert agent/LLM; an AI Agentic Mesh with an Enterprise Agent/MCP Registry for discovery, governance, and reuse; and a security-first model using OAuth 2.0 Token Exchange (RFC 8693) so agents invoke one another with with secure identity propagation and a complete, auditable chain of custody.
You’ll see how Deep Research Agents blend web + internal knowledge for actionable research reports; Personal & Cisco Data RAG enable safe BYO data (e.g., OneDrive); Data Analysis Agents accelerate insights; and a PPT Agent turns conversations into decks for faster storytelling. With Cisco AI Pods and Leading LLMs, employees can choose the best model for the job. We’ll close with outcomes from assistants in Sales (GSX), Cisco events (Cisco Live), support, and engineering—covering proposal generation, RFP compliance, and bug triage—and share the patterns to replicate this in your org.
Takeaways
• Reference architecture for agentic, multi-LLM platforms at enterprise scale
• Patterns for reliable, stateful agents using LangGraph
• Security model with OAuth 2.0 Token Exchange, agent identities, and audit trails
• Operating model: registry, governance, and cross-agent reuse
• RAG at Scale with Pinecone Vector Database
• Practical playbook to move from POC to production with measurable productivity gains

Where Purpose-Driven Innovation Meets Venture Scale
This theme is designed to capture the core of the event: showcasing startups that are not only commercially viable but also fundamentally committed to solving significant social and environmental challenges.
It speaks directly to a sophisticated audience of investors and founders by acknowledging the necessity of a strong financial return (the "bottom line") while elevating the importance of measurable impact (the "double bottom line"). The theme positions the event at the cutting edge of modern venture capital, where the most resilient and valuable companies are increasingly those with a clear purpose.

The AI Talent Imperative
start time
This is some text inside of a div block.
As Agentic AI moves from concept to implementation, it is not just the technology that needs to scale — it is also the people. Today, organizations across every industry are being forced to rethink what talent means, how roles evolve, and what it truly takes to be “AI-ready.”
But here’s the problem: while AI product vendors continue to launch capabilities at breakneck speed, their System Integrator (SI) partners and enterprise customers are falling behind on enablement. Most employees don’t just need to learn new tools — they need to reinvent how they work. And yet, training systems are stuck in legacy mode: outdated content, low certification rates (often below 30%), and one-size-fits-all approaches that don't stick.
This session addresses a critical — and often overlooked — gap in the AI transformation journey: scaling workforce readiness with the same speed and intentionality as the technology itself.

AI in construction tech
start time
This is some text inside of a div block.
In the era of rapid technological progress, we often underestimate how deeply the built world shapes our lives. While Silicon Valley races toward AGI, construction, one of the oldest yet most critical industries, still struggles with inefficiencies that touch us every day. Even something as simple as the price of the milk you buy at your local grocery store is influenced by the hidden costs of construction inefficiency.
At this SF Tech Week event, hosted by Surfaice, we’ll dive into the challenges construction faces today and how AI is reshaping its future.
The panel will feature a unique conversation structured across three “horizons” of AI in construction:
– Distant Horizon: Nelson Koen, lecturer at Stanford and expert in real estate and construction, will share his long-term vision for how far AI can go and what excites him most about the future.
– Mid Horizon (3–5 years): KP Reddy, Managing Partner at Shadow VC and a leading voice in AEC disruption, will explore where he sees the industry heading from an investment and innovation perspective.
– Near Horizon (Now): Alexey Dubov, engineer and entrepreneur turned VC, will discuss what’s actually happening today as startups adopt AI and push for pilots across the industry.
– Today’s Impact: A special guest speaker with a deep AI background (Google DeepMind/Stanford PhD) will reveal what they’re launching now — and how it’s already changing the daily life of construction professionals.
– Alim Uderbekov, CEO & Founder Surfaice.pro, aerospace engineer and serial entrepreneur will moderate this session.
By taking this step-by-step approach across horizons, we’ll explore how AI can unlock massive productivity gains and transform one of the world’s most important industries.
