Are you a fan of indie games and immersive experiences? Then stop by Be Playful: Black Public Media Games Showcase on Thursday, October. 15th, in Leimert Park. The three-hour showcase features PC and VR game demos, plus a couple of augmented reality art projects. Black Public Media (BPM) artists and developers will be on site, answering questions about their work.
And if you have a recent bonus check burning a hole in your pocket, consider supporting your favorite demo in the showcase. Project budgets range from $75K to $300K. All of the makers are seeking institutional grants and individual funders, in exchange for credit. BPM makers have pitch decks and project budgets ready for prospective funders to review.
