LA Tech Week is back, and this time we're building a whole cast of characters — literally.
CG Pro and Fermata are teaming up with Machine Cinema, and we're bringing together filmmakers, game designers, AI makers and character-obsessed creators for one wild build event: design an original character (personality, look, animation, the whole vibe) using a lineup of tools we're bringing in to help you build, including Unreal Engine and AI agents.
Then? Your character gets dropped into a shared simulated world — think Love Island, but every contestant is AI-driven, completely autonomous, remembers what everyone said and can talk back to you. No scripts. No puppeteering. Just your creation, out there, competing for airtime.
What you'll do: 🎭 Build a character with a real personality 🛠️ Learn the overlap between AI NPCs 🏝️ Release them into the Villa and watch the drama unfold
Come with a team, come solo, come with just a character concept — you'll leave with a cast member in a living, breathing show.
