/ About this event

Every AI event this week will tell you AI is changing content production. This one brings together the filmmakers and founders actually building what comes next.

The economics of media are changing. AI is making high-quality production faster, more accessible, and dramatically less expensive. At the same time, short-form IP is becoming one of the most powerful ways to capture attention, build audiences, and create entirely new media businesses.

But what happens when Oscar-winning filmmaking meets the next generation of AI-native studios?

Join us for an evening at the intersection of filmmaking, AI, storytelling, and media entrepreneurship. Through opening remarks, two featured presentations, and a fireside conversation, we'll explore what it takes to create exceptional stories, where AI genuinely changes the production process, and how the next generation of media companies will be built.

✨ OPENING REMARKS — SHILPI NAYAK

Shilpi Nayak is the Founder of House of 434 and 434 VC, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on frontier technologies, physical AI, and the infrastructure powering the next generation of intelligent systems.

A former Google engineering leader and YC-backed founder, Shilpi has spent over a decade building and scaling technology products across AI, enterprise software, and emerging technologies.

Shilpi will open the evening with her perspective on the convergence of AI, creativity, and entrepreneurship, setting the stage for conversations about how technology is reshaping media and creating opportunities for the next generation of founders and creators.

Through House of 434, she brings together founders, investors, creators, researchers, and industry leaders for curated conversations and meaningful connections across the technology ecosystem.

🎬 FEATURED PRESENTATIONS

HEMAL TRIVEDI — FROM OSCAR-WINNING FILMMAKING TO ZEROINFINITY

Oscar and 3x Emmy-winning filmmaker, AMPAS voting member, Columbia Journalism professor, and Co-Founder of ZeroInfinity.

Hemal brings decades of creative experience to a new chapter in filmmaking.

She'll share her journey from award-winning documentary filmmaking to building ZeroInfinity, the vision behind the company, and how her experience informs what she's creating next.

From the craft of storytelling to the realities of film production, Hemal will explore what technology can change, what it cannot replace, and what the future could look like for filmmakers and studios.

ABHINAV SINGLA — CREATORS ARE THE NEW STUDIOS

Founder of Canvas, an AI-powered platform for developing, producing, distributing, and monetizing original media IP.

Abhinav will share how AI is unlocking new levels of production quality while dramatically reducing the cost and complexity of creating media.

We'll explore why short-form IP is becoming so valuable, how smaller creative teams can produce work that once required entire studios, and how creators can build, own, and monetize their intellectual property.

🎤 FEATURED FIRESIDE — WHERE CRAFT MEETS AI

Following the presentations, Abhinav will sit down with Hemal for a fireside conversation exploring where creative excellence meets emerging technology and new business models.

We'll get into the questions shaping the industry's future:

• What does award-winning filmmaking teach us about building AI-native studios? • Where does AI genuinely improve the creative process, and where does it fall short? • Can small teams now create productions that previously required large studios and budgets? • How will short-form IP, distribution, and ownership evolve? • What should Hollywood studios and streaming platforms be thinking about today? • What will the next generation of media companies look like?

The evening will conclude with audience questions and time to connect with filmmakers, creators, founders, investors, and technologists.
