The FYI SpookyAF event on 10/12 is a Spookathon at The FYI Campus. It's not a hackathon - It is a horror film festival, speculative design lab, and technology buildathon where participants create the futures we fear, the systems that might save us, and the choices that determine whether humanity survives. Teams of up to four must choose a future year and a central horror, ensuring technology drives the story. Participants must use FYI to build a working agent that performs a real function to help drive the story, alongside a cinematic vision, storyboard, and a vision of the systems that might save us, the harms they may cause, and the choices that determine whether humanity survives. Required deliverables include a cinematic storyboard, key art or poster, presentation graphics, a working FYI agent or workflow, a short trailer, a soundscape, an emergency broadcast, and a written explanation of the future, power structure, and harms. Judging and awards will be based on world building, visual storytelling, technical execution, ethical tension, and memorability.
