The evening will begin with a fireside chat featuring Peter Buckland, COO at Isara Laboratories and formerly the COO and a partner at Khosla Ventures, and Scott James, Director of the Stanford Private Capital Initiative and formerly at Goodwater Capital, Accel and DCVC. Drawing on their extensive experience advising startups and managing venture capital firms, Peter and Scott will share insights on how to build and scale high-growth companies, including how management, the board of directors and investors should think about team building, fundraising from financial and strategic investors, corporate governance, and strategic planning for long-term success. The discussion will be moderated by Joe Wyatt, a WilmerHale corporate partner with more than 25 years of experience advising companies throughout their lifecycle, including formation, seed and venture financings, general corporate counseling, and strategic transactions, and representing buyers and sellers in M&A transactions.
