Generative AI has changed both sides of one of the internet's oldest safety problems. Detection tooling is faster and more capable than it has ever been — and so is the production of abuse material, including synthetic imagery that existing hash-matching infrastructure was never designed to catch.
Join Garima Lunawat and Dr. Aadi Shah of Shah Laboratories for a candid working session on where the technology actually stands. We'll cover how detection systems function today (perceptual hashing, classifiers, and where each breaks down), what AI-generated material means for reporting pipelines and the organizations that run them, the legal and compliance exposure facing anyone shipping a generative model or a platform that hosts user content, and the open technical problems that still need people working on them.
