Hi all,

Welcome, and thank you for checking in. Here is everything you need for the day.

The brief Build AI for everyday people learning real-world skills. We want tools that help a real person learn, practice, or get certified in something they do with their hands and their judgment: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, welding, automotive, culinary, caregiving, field service, and the like. Preference goes to tactile training and the trades.

What you build Your solution must teach or train. Use AR or VR, or any other training modality that fits the skill: computer vision feedback, voice coaching, simulation, haptics, mobile, video, or conversational practice. Teams are encouraged to build on the TradesQuest API. Your codebase must be 100% AI-generated; you direct, the models write. Keep a short log of the tools and prompts you used; judges may ask.

Judging Each team is scored 1 to 10 on three criteria, equally weighted:

Commercial application. Who pays for this, why, and how big is the path. Human impact. Who gets better at their craft because this exists, and how much. Training innovation. What this does that a textbook, a video, or a classroom cannot. Projects focused on tactile skills and the trades receive up to 3 bonus points and win ties.

Teams and rules Teams of 1 to 4. Everything must be built today; pre-existing open-source libraries and public APIs are fine, pre-existing products are not. You own what you build. Be respectful of the space, the other teams, and the Stonebyte HQ house rules.

Timeline 12:30 build begins. 4:00 submissions close. 4:15 demos, 3 minutes per team plus 2 minutes of questions. Winners announced before 5:00.

Submitting By 4:00pm, give the host desk your team name, a one-paragraph description of who the tool is for and what it trains, your repo link, and your demo. Live demos preferred; a recorded demo is accepted.

Prizes $500 cash to the winning team. Finalists earn a seat in the Musa Labs Microsoft AI credential track (fully sponsored training, with exam access facilitated through the program). The winning team gets a meeting with Musa Capital.

Judges' decisions are final. Questions during the day go to the host desk. Build something a tradesperson would actually use.

Allen Musa Labs, with Stonebyte and AIGEO

In partnership with Stonebyte & Aigeo

Our partners:

Aigeo (theaigeo.com) — provides end-to-end GEO services for Fortune 500 and public companies, and is building the first semi-managed GEO platform that goes beyond AI visibility tracking to actually improving it. By connecting brands with PR, social media, websites, and distribution channels, AIGEO turns GEO insights into measurable AI visibility growth.

Stonebyte — launching TradesQuest (stonebyte.bid), their first product, live at this hackathon — and hosting the day at their space on Sutter Street. Your builds become the first wave of the TradesQuest ecosystem, in the room where it was built.

Free to compete · registration required · hosted by Musa Labs, the education platform of Musa Capital
