What would the world feel like if you experienced it as a dog, a cat, or another animal?
In this hands-on AI art workshop, you'll step outside the human point of view, imagine how another creature senses and understands reality, and turn that perspective into an explorable AI-generated 3D world.
You'll be guided by Peter, a former Stanford professor turned artist, who will share an artist's perspective on perception, space, movement, and point of view, and by an AI researcher, who will introduce the idea of world models in a beginner-friendly way and help you bring your group's imagined world to life with AI.
No AI, art, or technical experience is required. You don't need to own a pet to participate.

This workshop is for:
- Artists and creatives curious about artificial intelligence - Engineers, researchers, and people in tech who want to explore AI from a more creative perspective - Designers, photographers, writers, and makers - Pet lovers and people curious about animal perception - Anyone interested in world models, spatial intelligence, or generative AI - People who want to meet thoughtful people from different backgrounds and create something together
What We'll Explore
We'll begin with one simple question:
What would the world look like through your pet's eyes?
A dog might experience a walk as a landscape of smells.
A cat might notice height, movement, hidden corners, and paths through a room that humans barely see.
The same environment can become a completely different world depending on who is experiencing it.
During the workshop, you'll:
- Be introduced to an animal perspective for the evening - Explore how that animal might sense and understand its environment - Learn the basic idea behind world models and how different minds can represent the same reality differently - Hear an artist's perspective on perception, space, scale, movement, and point of view - Work in a small group to imagine a world from your animal's perspective - Use AI tools to turn that idea into an explorable 3D world - Iterate on your world together as a group - End with a World Tour, exploring the different realities created across the room
The goal is not to build the most technically impressive 3D world or write the perfect prompt.
It's to step outside your usual point of view, notice what another mind might notice, and use AI as a medium for perspective, imagination, and creative exploration.
What to Bring
A phone is all you need.
If you have a laptop, feel free to bring it. We'll create in small groups, and having a larger screen can make it easier to build and explore the world together.
Light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.
Create, Share & Stay Connected
The experience doesn't have to end when the workshop does.
Participants will be invited to join the AIC Discord community, where you can stay connected with people you meet, share work, exchange ideas, and continue conversations after the event.
You'll also have the opportunity to submit your work to be featured on the AIC website.
If you enjoy writing, you can submit reflections, essays, or stories about your creative process, ideas, or relationship with AI and art. Selected artwork and writing may be featured through AIC as part of our growing creative community.
