Can AI Have Taste? | LA Tech Week
AI can make a hundred versions of something in seconds. Somehow, a lot of them still end up feeling the same.
As AI gets better at creating, building, and recommending almost anything, one question becomes more interesting: Can AI actually understand what people want?
During LA Tech Week, Skyveil AI × GBI VC are bringing together founders, builders, investors, designers, researchers, and creative minds for a conversation about something AI still struggles with: taste.
What does it actually mean for AI to have taste? Can AI understand individual preferences instead of optimizing for the average person? What makes an AI-generated product genuinely desirable? And as AI makes it easier than ever to build things, will understanding what people want become the real competitive advantage?
We'll kick things off with a short, opinionated panel featuring founders and industry experts.
Then we'll open things up for drinks, meeting interesting people, and letting the debate continue around the room.
Come if you're building in AI, consumer, personalization, design, creative tools, or anything where understanding what humans actually want matters.
Or just come if you think your algorithm has terrible taste.
