Executive to Founder: Navigating the Identity Shift
A small-group coaching expereince for founders who made the leap.
You left the title, the team, and the clear career ladder. You traded a known identity for one you're still building, and maybe still defining.
The external change happened fast: the resignation, the incorporation, the first customer conversations, maybe a first check. The internal transition takes longer. Somewhere between who you were and who you're becoming is a stretch that can feel disorienting. Old markers of success no longer apply. Old instincts sometimes help and sometimes get in the way. And it's hard to name what you've let go of, let alone what you're stepping into.
This is not a panel or a pitch night. It's a facilitated, confidential group coaching conversation with peers who understand the journey from the inside.
Together we'll explore:
What you've let go of: the identity, status, structure, and certainty that came with your corporate role, and what still lingers The in-between: how to lead through the uncertain middle, when the old way is gone and the new one isn't fully formed, and why this space is often where your most creative thinking happens
What's emerging: the founder you're becoming, along with the beliefs, habits, and sense of purpose that come with it
Why the pace doesn't match: the change around you and the transition within you rarely move at the same speed, and that gap is where many founders feel most alone
Who it's for: Early-stage founders, from pre-seed to seed, who recently left corporate roles to start their company. Limited to 12 participants to keep the conversation deep.
Format: 90 minutes of guided group coaching. Come ready to reflect and share. What's said in the room stays in the room.
Hosted by Athira Das, founder of Grey Mahout and leadership coach to tech leaders and founders. After 10+ years as a senior data engineer at Meta, Amazon, and WeWork, she made her own corporate-to-founder transition and now coaches leaders through theirs.
