Hardware founders no longer need to build every part of their product from scratch. New technologies, platforms, and tools are making advanced capabilities easier to integrate into new products.
Hardware Velocity is bringing together two companies building these new building blocks: OpenMV, which makes open-source, low-power machine vision hardware that lets teams run computer vision and AI directly on-device, and CPTI, which develops high-efficiency photovoltaic modules designed to power edge devices from indoor or outdoor light.
We’ll explore what technologies like these make possible for hardware companies, how founders should decide what to build themselves versus leverage, and how better building blocks can reduce development time, cost, and integration complexity.

We're inviting hardware founders and builders to bring a prototype or technical challenge they're working through. After the discussion, we'll open up the room to share, get input, and work through challenges with Hardware Velocity, OpenMV, CPTI, and other hardware founders.
OpenMV and CPTI will have their technology on hand to demo, giving attendees a chance to see these building blocks in action and talk directly with the teams developing them.
